Insights comprises 100-200 items, broadly arranged chronologically in a likely timeline.
Numbering is sequential (with gaps to enable updates of more items to be added and/or subsequent repositioning for better chronological flow ).
#1 I’m not sure what to expect. When starting in Network Marketing, everything feels new, and it's common to feel uncertain about what lies ahead. The industry is often misunderstood, and it's easy to get overwhelmed by the excitement and the unknowns. At this stage, a good approach is to focus on learning the basics and keeping an open mind while understanding that success takes time.
#2 I feel overwhelmed. The initial flood of information can be overwhelming—product knowledge, sales techniques, prospecting strategies, and more. The key here is to take it one step at a time. Focusing on one task or area at a time helps break down the overwhelming feeling into manageable chunks. Remember, learning and growth happen gradually, so patience is crucial.
#3 I have no idea where to begin. Initial excitement often meets uncertainty about where to begin. Many start by exploring resources, speaking to their upline, or browsing for advice. It’s common to be unsure about how to prioritize activities. A good first step is to familiarize yourself with your company’s product and compensation plan, then learn how to present the opportunity confidently. Developing a small, actionable plan can provide direction.
#4 I’m nervous about talking to people about this. The fear of rejection or sounding pushy often arises when new network marketers approach friends and family. It’s natural to feel anxious when you’re still new to the business. A helpful strategy is to focus on sharing, rather than selling. Practice your pitch and be open about your own excitement and why you believe in the product. The more you practice, the easier it gets.
#5 I feel like an outsider in the company. Early on, it can feel like you’re not yet part of the community or culture of your network marketing company. Others might have more experience, which can make you feel disconnected. To overcome this, it’s important to engage with your upline and peers. Join company events, webinars, or forums to get more involved and learn from others who’ve been in the business longer.
