Challenges, observations, emotions, feelings, etcetera.

Huh?

The main difference between feelings and emotions is that feelings are how we interpret emotions, while emotions are the reactions to stimuli:

  • Emotions: a short-lived but intense reaction to a stimulus, such as enjoying coffee or disliking the rain. Emotions are physiological responses that cause the release of chemicals in the body.

  • Feelings: the physical and mental sensations that result from internalizing emotions. Feelings are how we make sense of emotions and react to them. Feelings can be conscious or subconscious, and can be influenced by past experiences.

While emotions start as sensations in the body, feelings are generated from our thoughts about those emotions. Or in other words, feelings are how we interpret emotions and let them sink in.

All clear now? I wish I was.
